| The
set up at this "small motor development" table
(paper-art-and-stuff) is designed to promote the coordination
of the small muscle of the hands. Here children draw, paint,
tear, cut, fold, staple, stamp and sticker. Important sensory
motor integration takes place as the children enjoy the creative
process. |
The easel provides another setting in which children can
create. Unlike working on a table top, the upright easel presents
the challenge of working with and against gravity. At the easel
we work with many different materials (tempera, watercolors,
collage, glitter, shaving cream, etc.) |
At TOT
DROP we make our own clay. It’s extra soft and
extra smooth. As children work with the malleable clay they
create and experiment; is it art or is it science? It's both! |
